IVE’s Gaeul recently showcased her literary side in a photo shoot and interview with Esquire Korea. The rising K-pop star revealed her deep passion for reading, explaining, “I love the moment when a sentence is so beautiful it makes my heart race.” She enjoys imagining the words as images rather than relying on visual media, finding inspiration in different writing styles. Gaeul also mentioned that reading helps her songwriting, as she frequently notes down ideas on her phone.
As IVE gears up for their third fan concert, Gaeul couldn’t hide her excitement. “There will be performances that DIVE (IVE’s fandom) has never seen before,” she teased. Meeting fans in person holds a special place in her heart, as she explained how experiencing their support firsthand is entirely different from online interactions.
Gaeul also shared her love for young fans, affectionately referred to as ‘Baby DIVE.’ “All fans are precious, but hearing things like ‘My niece loves you’ really warms my heart,” she said.
Fans can find Gaeul’s full interview and photo shoot in the April 2025 edition of Esquire Korea, available in bookstores and online from March 21. Through this interview, Gaeul proves she is more than just an idol—she is an artist with a deep appreciation for both literature and music, a quality that continues to captivate her fans.
