‘Pretty Girls Are Dangerous’—And IVE Is the Proof
On July 18, Starship Entertainment dropped the second mood sampler for IVE SECRET on the group’s official YouTube channel. And let’s just say… things got dark.
In the teaser, members Ahn Yujin, Gaeul, Rei, Jang Wonyoung, Liz, and Leeseo morph into high-fashion ‘cover girls’ complete with smokey makeup, sleek outfits, and scene-stealing accessories. Amid a glamorously chaotic dressing room, they strike fierce poses while an English narration deepens the mysterious mood.
A Dash of Chaos, A Hint of Danger
The video ends with some major girlboss déjà vu. There’s coy laughter behind hands, an oversized surreal object crashing onto the scene, and each member carrying a distinct handbag. But it’s what’s inside that turns heads: perfume, plushies, candy—and suspiciously dangerous items. It ends in a scene that evokes an airport security check, adding a thriller twist to the glam concept.

With IVE SECRET dropping on July 25 at 6 PM KST, the group is slowly peeling back the layers of their comeback concept. Fans have already been treated to everything from teaser photos to SECRET posters—each hinting at IVE’s duality: elegance outside, danger within.
As they gear up to release their new title track ‘XOXZ’ (pronounced ‘ex-oh-ex-zee’), IVE isn’t just serving visuals. They’re pushing their artistry to new heights, expanding the bold, trendsetting image they’ve earned in the K-pop world.
