Radio debut: aoen steps behind the mic

Say hello to late-night serotonin boosts—courtesy of aoen. The emerging J-pop boy group is getting its own radio show, ‘aoen no CheerRadio!’ (or in English, “aoen’s CheerRadio!”) premiering on TOKAI RADIO starting October 5 at 11:00 PM JST. Airing every Sunday night, the show promises 30 minutes of honest chats, wild banter, and emotional support from the members themselves.

What the show is all about

From chaotic group convos to exclusive behind-the-scenes scoop, the vibe of this radio show is cozy and candid. You’ll hear the team open up about their personal lives and respond to listeners’ real-life troubles with encouragement and energy. Think of it as a weekly power-up session with your favorite idols, right at week’s end.

Leader YUJU speaks out

“We’re beyond excited for our new program on TOKAI RADIO,” shared leader YUJU. “There’s a special kind of chemistry you get on radio—it’s raw and real. We’ll be sharing our current thoughts, giving advice, and just having fun. Hopefully, we can add a little positivity to everyone’s day.”

Missed it live? There’s a podcast for that

Even if you’re outside Japan or just dozed off by Sunday at 11 PM, you can still catch every episode. ‘aoen’s CheerRadio!’ will also be available as a podcast, making it easy to tune in anytime, anywhere. Whether you’re commuting, studying, or crying over that K-drama ending—aoen’s got your back.

Fresh faces with big momentum

aoen made their official debut on June 11 with the single “The Blue Sun”, which landed straight at No. 1 on the Oricon Daily Singles Chart. Their rookie success was quickly cemented with a Gold certification by the Recording Industry Association of Japan.

Since then, they’ve been all over festivals and music shows. On September 6, they lit up the Saitama Super Arena stage at the Tokyo Girls Collection 2025 A/W showcase. And come September 21, fans can catch a special joint stage with their label seniors &TEAM at ‘Music Day Fes 2025’—a collab that’s already stirring fan hype.
