Kazuha Makes Big Leap in Netizen Awards as Idol Comeback Sparks Buzz

Kazuha of LE SSERAFIM surges in the Netizen Awards' Best Female Artist poll, while Eunha and Minji gain attention for their potential breakthrough performances amid a trot-dominated field.

Idol Artists Challenge Trot Dominance in July Netizen Awards

As of 9:37 PM on July 20, 2025, the Netizen Awards’ Best Female Artist category is witnessing a subtle but significant shift. While trot singers continue to hold strong at the top, K-pop idols are quietly gaining traction, hinting at a potential upset in the coming days.

Kazuha Rises to 12th, Backed by Strong Fanbase

LE SSERAFIM’s Kazuha has climbed to 12th place with 704 votes (0.9%), showcasing a noticeable upward trend. Her surge began in mid-July, thanks to a dedicated fandom consistently rallying behind her. With continued voter support, her chances of breaking into the mid-to-upper ranks are becoming more realistic.

“She’s got both elegance and stage power. Kazuha is definitely the dark horse this month,” a fan commented on social media.

Under-the-Radar Contestants: Eunha and Minji

VIVIZ’s Eunha currently sits at 19th with 6 votes, but loyal fans believe a late-stage comeback is possible. Her consistent appeal and long-standing fan support could spark a rebound during the final stretch of the poll.

In 20th place is Minji of NewJeans, holding 3 votes. Though her current tally is low, industry watchers regard her as a “hidden superstar” — her global fame and Gen Z appeal could translate into a sudden voting surge toward the end of the contest.

Can K-pop Turn the Tables?

At present, trot singer Jung Seo-joo leads the chart decisively with 30,640 votes (41.0%), followed by Binnie Seo with 13,545 votes (18.1%) and MyJin with 13,283 votes (17.8%). While the top ranks remain steadfastly trot-centric, idol fans are hoping their collective efforts can shake up the rankings in the last ten days.

“This is a turning point, where longstanding popularity meets fresh momentum,” one music columnist noted. “If fandoms unite, the tide can turn quickly.”

When Fandom Moves, Stars Rise

With just ten days remaining, the July Netizen Awards reflect a transitional period in the K-pop vs. trot narrative. From online votes to passionate fan campaigns, the outcome ultimately lies in the hands of the public. And behind every fingertip on a voting button is a fan making their idol shine brighter than ever.
