Kep1er Returns with a Sweet Summer Bang
It’s official: Kep1er is joining the K-pop summer comeback frenzy. The nine-member girl group—currently performing as six due to Seo Youngeun’s health-related hiatus—is set to release their 7th mini album, ‘Bubble Gum’, on August 19.
Bubbly Visuals, Catchy Hints
The newly dropped teaser image features a splash of hot pink with bubblegum visuals that look straight out of a retro ice cream shop ad. Two unwrapped gums tease the album title in playful fonts, while another boldly reveals the comeback date: 2025.08.19.
Fans also noticed more unopened gum in the teaser—which, in K-pop language, basically screams: “More surprises coming.” The candy-colored palette hints at a vibrant, pop-forward concept. Compare it to the mysterious vibes of their last album ‘TIPI-TAP’, and it’s clear Kep1er is switching gears again.
Global Appeal and Tight Teamwork
Kep1er first made waves as the winners of Mnet’s idol survival show ‘Girls Planet 999’. While most project groups fade after a short run, Kep1er made history by re-signing and continuing as a group—a K-pop rarity that speaks volumes about their chemistry and fan support.
Despite operating as a six-member unit for this comeback, fans remain fiercely loyal. “Their synergy is just *that* strong,” says one Twitter fan. “Even with one member out, they still shine.”
What’s Next: Comeback & Tour
The group will drip-feed content leading up to the album release: think teaser photos, videos, and maybe even a sneak peek at the title track choreography. But they aren’t stopping there. Kep1er is also prepping for the ‘2025 Kep1er Concert Tour [Into The Orbit: Kep1asia]’, kicking off in Seoul on September 20–21.
Mark your calendars, because summer just got a whole lot sweeter—and possibly pinker—with Kep1er’s return.
