Back to School—K-pop Style
Gen Z girl group KiiiKiii (members: Jiyu, Isol, Sui, Haeum, and Kiya) is making waves again with their self-produced content series KiiKiiPangPang. The ninth episode, titled “You Didn’t Prepare Over the Break, Did You?”, dropped recently on the group’s official YouTube channel—and it’s a delightful throwback to the chaos of summer school.
Classroom Skits and Summer Shenanigans
The episode kicks off with the members donning school uniforms, transforming into students bracing for a surprise supplementary class. As their ‘teacher’ tries to dip out before lessons begin, the girls crank up the sass: “It’s movie day, isn’t it?” Jiyu jokes. “You didn’t prep a lesson, did you?” adds Isol. Cue the giggles.
Class begins with a random storytelling mission. Each member pulls a hidden item—like mint chocolate or a mosquito coil—from beneath the teacher’s podium and must tie it into a summer vacation anecdote. Sui hilariously fails to eat mint chocolate despite her bold attempt, while Kiya’s story about receiving a costume abroad gets roasted by Jiyu: “That’s so not your style!”
Math Mayhem and Dance Detention
Second period kicks off with a secret snacking challenge. Kiya munches on celery under her desk but nearly gets caught when called on. The group covers with a dramatic lie: “She can’t speak—mouth ulcer!” Genius? Maybe. Effective? Barely.
When it’s time for a stealthy dance-off, mayhem erupts. Despite Haeum getting ‘busted,’ the girls power through with bold moves and hearts-in-the-air, claiming, “It’s a surprise gift for our teacher!” Talk about maximum dedication.
Ddeokbokki + Arcade = Peak K-pop Hangout
The episode ends on a high, with the members dashing out of the classroom for a tteokbokki run (that’s spicy rice cakes, a Korean comfort classic). Fans were treated to sneak peeks of the next outing: arcade games, photobooths, and karaoke. A Gen Z dream sequence, basically.
KiiiKiii’s Content Universe Keeps Expanding
Since its June launch, KiiKiiPangPang has showcased the group’s raw variety skills and infectious chemistry through themed settings like haunted houses, hospitals, and office life. Pair that with their slice-of-life reality TikiTaka, and you’ve got a group making content that’s both relatable and refreshingly offbeat.
Looks like KiiiKiii is not just here for the music—they’re building a whole world. And fans are totally here for it.
