Kim Taerae Breathes Life into ‘My Youth’ with Dreamy OST
ZEROBASEONE’s rising star Kim Taerae is making waves again—this time as an OST vocalist. His newest track, “Cheot Haengbok” (translates to “First Happiness”), will be featured in JTBC’s upcoming Friday drama My Youth, starring Song Joongki and Chun Woohee.
What Is ‘My Youth’ All About?
My Youth follows the poetic love story of Sun Woo-hae (played by Song Joongki), a man starting adult life a bit later than most, and Sung Jeyeon (Chun Woohee), whose peaceful first love path gets unexpectedly shaken. It’s emotional, it’s intimate—and, if the premise is anything to go by, it’s a certified tearjerker.
“Cheot Haengbok” Sets an Emotional Tone
The OST track “Cheot Haengbok” is described as a song layered with soft textures and warm soundscapes. Taerae’s signature bright vocals lend a touch of freshness—capturing the bittersweet essence of first love. With this project, he continues carving his niche as one of K-pop’s next big vocalists.
OST Veteran in the Making
This isn’t Taerae’s first foray into drama soundtracks. He previously sang “I Couldn’t Wish for More” for the hit drama Queen of Tears and “If You” for A Week Before I Die. His growing OST resume is fueling fan excitement for his latest musical contribution.
ZEROBASEONE Gearing Up for Full Album Comeback
As if one headline weren’t enough, ZEROBASEONE is preparing for a major comeback. On September 1, the group will drop their first-ever full studio album titled Never Say Never. The album reflects the dreams shared with their fans, called ZEROSE, and sends an empowering message: no dream is out of reach.
Where and When to Listen
“Cheot Haengbok,” the My Youth OST sung by Kim Taerae, will be available on all major music platforms starting September 19 at 6 PM KST. Prepare tissues—and maybe a replay button.
