LE SSERAFIM Hits a Major Milestone in Japan
K-pop girl group LE SSERAFIM has added another accolade to their rapidly growing list of achievements. According to the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ), the group’s hit song “ANTIFRAGILE” has surpassed 200 million streams, earning them their first ‘Double Platinum’ certification in the streaming category.
Understanding the Certification
The RIAJ awards certifications based on cumulative streaming numbers: Gold for 50 million streams, Platinum for 100 million, and Diamond for 500 million. Reaching the Double Platinum milestone places LE SSERAFIM among an elite group of artists recognized for their enduring popularity in Japan’s competitive music market.
Why ‘ANTIFRAGILE’ Resonates
“ANTIFRAGILE” delivers a powerful message about turning adversity into strength. The track’s bold lyrics, addictive beat, and vibrant sound have struck a chord with listeners both in Korea and abroad. It’s a song that tells fans: “What doesn’t break you, makes you stronger.”
Chart-Topping Success with Recent Singles
LE SSERAFIM’s momentum continues. Their third Japanese single “CRAZY”, released in December 2024, ranked 24th in Oricon’s 2025 Mid-Year Single Ranking, making them the only K-pop girl group to appear on the chart.
Meanwhile, their latest single “DIFFERENT”, released on June 24, 2025, immediately topped Oricon’s Daily Singles Chart. The song promotes individuality with the message “being yourself shows how you’re different from others.” It’s currently charting on Line Music, Spotify Japan, and iTunes Japan.
