LE SSERAFIM Embraces Tradition With a Stylish Twist
LE SSERAFIM is turning heads once again—this time in stunning hanbok, Korea’s traditional attire, with a fashion-forward edge. The five-member girl group graced the cover of ELLE Korea’s October issue in a special Chuseok-themed insert called “SUPER ELLE.”
Pearls and Power: The Meaning Behind the Shoot
This isn’t just your average fashion spread. The concept centers around “pearl” as a symbol—something that takes time and pressure to form, much like the group’s journey in K-pop. Each member’s glowing hanbok reflects both tradition and transformation.
Kim Chaewon donned a ceremonial crown called a jokduri, locking eyes with the camera in a regal pose. Sakura wowed in an elegant silhouette that flowed like poetry. Huh Yunjin emanated mystery in deep blue hues, while Kazuha showcased her delicate profile with a classic updo. Hong Eunchae stunned in violet florals, earning the nickname “flower among flowers.”
The Group Reflects on Hanbok and Their Growth
In their post-shoot interview, the members expressed amazement at how Korean tradition can blend so beautifully with modern styles. Talking about the pearl concept, they said, “Pearls are born from pain and time—just like us.”
They added, “An oyster turns discomfort into something beautiful. We want to be like that—resilient and radiant.”
On Tour Highlights and a New Album Drop
LE SSERAFIM also got candid about their ongoing world tour, ‘2025 EASY CRAZY HOT’. “Standing on that stage through our own power was meaningful,” said one member. “We owe it to the K-pop senior groups who paved the way.”
They were especially moved when international fans passionately sang along in Korean during live shows. “Hearing them through our in-ears was surreal. It still gives us chills.”
The group isn’t slowing down either. LE SSERAFIM is gearing up for a comeback this October with a new single—marking their return approximately seven months after their fifth mini album, HOT.
