According to Oricon’s rankings released on June 24, LE SSERAFIM (Kim Chaewon, Sakura, Huh Yunjin, Kazuha, and Hong Eunchae) sold an impressive 98,898 copies on the first day, claiming the No.1 spot on the daily singles chart dated June 23. The group learned of this success during their showcase in Japan, where they shared the joyous moment with fans.
Making Waves on Japanese Music Platforms
The title track ‘DIFFERENT’ also hit No.4 on Japan’s iTunes Top Songs Chart as of the afternoon of June 24—marking the first time one of their original Japanese tracks has entered the chart. Originally pre-released on June 9, the song continues to trend high, recently maintaining a spot on Spotify Japan’s Daily Top Songs chart for two consecutive weeks, peaking at No.69.

‘DIFFERENT’ delivers a powerful message about embracing individuality—celebrating the contrast between self-identity and societal expectations. The single album includes three tracks: the title song, ‘HOT – Japanese ver.-‘, and ‘Kawaii (Prod. Gen Hoshino)’. For ‘Kawaii’, renowned Japanese singer-songwriter Gen Hoshino took on production duties, while Huh Yunjin contributed the English lyrics. As of the morning of June 25, this track also reached No.9 on the Japan iTunes Top Songs Chart.

LE SSERAFIM is currently captivating global audiences with their ‘2025 LE SSERAFIM TOUR ‘EASY CRAZY HOT.’ Kicking off in Incheon in April, the group has already held nine successful shows across Nagoya, Osaka, Kitakyushu, and Saitama in Japan. Their tour will continue through Taipei, Hong Kong, Manila, Bangkok, and Singapore this July and August.
