Yuma Steps Into the Spotlight with LUN8

After months of training and anticipation, Japanese rookie Yuma finally took the stage with K-pop boy group LUN8 for the very first time. The moment unfolded during the group’s showcase on June 17 at the YES24 Live Hall in Seoul, celebrating the release of their second mini-album, LOST.

From Trainee to Official Member

Yuma joined LUN8 following his appearance on MBC’s survival show Fantasy Boys, known in Japan as Shonen Fantasy. His addition brings the group’s member count back up to eight, after original member Eunseop departed earlier this year.

With nerves and excitement, Yuma shared, “After lots of preparation, I’m finally able to greet fans on stage. I want to show my best and continue to grow from here.”

What’s New with LOST?

The LOST album represents a bold new chapter for LUN8, packed with themes of transformation and self-discovery. Their last release was Butterfly in February—so this marks their return after nearly seven months.

The title track, also named LOST, lyrically captures a journey of longing that blossoms into enlightenment, painting a metaphor of being wrapped in someone’s light. Think starry-eyed romance meets an EDM-infused diary entry.

LUN8 Looks Ahead

With fresh energy and a revamped lineup, LUN8 is ready to rewrite their story. Yuma’s official debut could be just the beginning of a major breakout moment.

Now with eight members once again—and a dedicated fanbase watching closely—LUN8’s comeback with LOST might just be the plot twist they needed.
