Minnie of K-pop girl group (G)I-DLE won hearts in her hometown of Bangkok during the ‘Golden Wave in Bangkok’ event, held on June 5 at Thunder Dome. Acting as both MC and a solo performer, she impressed an audience of around 10,000 passionate fans.

Clad in a soft pink dress, Minnie delivered her opening in Thai, saying, “I’m so happy to be hosting ‘Golden Wave in Bangkok’ in my hometown.” Her love for Bangkok and her fans was also evident in a special video segment called “Wish Ball,” where she shared a heartfelt message using her Thai nickname, charming the audience further.

Dressed in elegant black velvet, Minnie took the stage to perform three tracks from her first solo album HER, including the pre-release single Blind Eyes Red, the title track HER, and Cherry Sky. Her ethereal vocals and confident stage presence captivated the crowd, reaffirming her status as a top-tier performer. Despite previously expressing concerns on Youngjae’s radio show about performing solo, she delivered a flawless act, earning thunderous applause.

Switching effortlessly between Korean and Thai, Minnie showcased her polished MC skills alongside co-host Bae Hyunseong. This wasn’t her first time in the spotlight either—she previously demonstrated her hosting prowess at ‘KCON 2023 Thailand.’ Her smooth communication and command on stage proved her versatility beyond performing.
