NCT member Doyoung has made a generous donation of ₩50 million (approx. $36,000 USD) to support residents affected by devastating wildfires that recently swept through Ulsan, North Gyeongsang, and South Gyeongsang provinces in South Korea.
The donation was delivered through The Promise, a specialized disaster relief NGO, and will be used to provide emergency supplies to displaced residents. It will also fund emotional and psychological support programs, helping students return to school and families to recover their daily lives.
Doyoung shared his heartfelt reason for contributing, saying, “I wanted to offer even a small help to those struggling due to the wildfires. I sincerely hope warmth and normalcy return to their lives soon.”
The Promise plans to offer tailored support on the ground through quick response efforts. Their goal: to help victims return to their routines as soon as possible.
In response to Doyoung’s act of kindness, many fans and netizens have praised the singer’s warmhearted gesture, calling it an inspiring example of positive influence in the entertainment industry. His contribution is expected to spark further awareness and support for affected residents.
In the wake of natural disasters, ongoing support—both material and psychological—plays a crucial role in helping victims rebuild. Thanks to Doyoung’s donation and The Promise’s coordinated efforts, there’s hope that recovery will come sooner for communities hit hardest by the fires.
