NEWBEAT, the seven-member boy group under Beat Interactive, is making waves ahead of their official debut. On June 22, they unveiled the group concept photos for the title track ‘Flip the Coin’ from their first full album, ‘RAW AND RAD.’
The photos feature the members dressed in kitschy outfits, exuding confidence and charisma as they gaze intensely at the camera. Their striking presence and unique aura captivate fans, hinting at the exciting concept of the upcoming album.
Notably, the concept photos were shot by renowned photographer Jang Deok-hwa, who has worked with top artists such as Lee Hyori and BTS. His expertise brings out NEWBEAT’s distinct charm, further heightening anticipation for their debut.
‘RAW AND RAD’ encapsulates the fearless spirit of youth, emphasizing raw and unfiltered energy. With producers like Maalib, BTOB’s Im Hyunsik, and Khundi Panda contributing to the album, the project boasts a strong musical lineup.
NEWBEAT, Beat Interactive’s first group in eight years, includes former ‘Boys Planet’ contestant Park Minseok and ex-TO1 member Jeon Yeo-yeon. They have built a global fanbase through extensive busking tours before their official debut.
Pre-release tracks ‘JeLLo (Strength Hidden Inside)’ and ‘HICCUPS’ have already garnered positive reactions, setting high expectations for their debut. Alongside their album release on June 24 at 6 PM KST, the group will hold a global debut show on Mnet, followed by a debut fan showcase on SBS on June 26, which will be broadcast via ‘SBSKPOP X INKIGAYO’ on June 28.
