NEWBEAT Makes Big Moves at KCON LA 2025
K-pop rookie sensation NEWBEAT is making waves in Los Angeles as they stole the spotlight at KCON LA 2025. The group—made up of Park Minseok, Hong Minseong, Jeon Yeojeong, Choi Seohyun, Kim Taeyang, Jo Yunhoo, and Kim Riu—officially joined the three-day convention held at the Crypto.com Arena and LA Convention Center from August 1 to 3.
Dance, Showcases, and All the Fan Love
Their KCON debut kicked off with a bang on day one as they performed on the dance stage and showcase, delivering intense choreography and contagious energy. On day three, they returned for the red carpet, a pre-show event, and another fan-packed showcase—turning KCON into NEWBEAT’s playground.
First Taste of ‘Cappuccino’—Before It Drops
In a surprise treat for fans, NEWBEAT debuted their upcoming digital single ‘Cappuccino‘ live on stage ahead of its official release on August 5. The buzzy performance sparked excitement for what’s next, with fans chanting lyrics after just one listen.
They also performed their title track ‘Flip the Coin‘ and breakout hit ‘HICCUPS‘ from their March debut album ‘RAW AND RAD’, reminding everyone why they’re on the radar as 2025’s hottest rookies.
Coffee, K-pop, and Fan Moments
The group extended their charm beyond the stage with an interactive artist booth inspired by the ‘Cappuccino’ concept. Fans lined up for photos, games, and adorable interactions, turning the pop-up into a full-on caffeinated celebration of K-pop culture.
Rookie No More
NEWBEAT made a high-profile debut earlier this year through Mnet’s reality show ‘Drop the NEWBEAT’ and SBS’s showcase program ‘Hidden Strength Dissection Room’. Since then, they’ve been tearing up the festival scene—from Lovesome and Spring Festa in Seoul to KCON Japan and MyK FESTA.
They’re already booked for the 2025 K-WORLD DREAM AWARDS, promising a performance brimming with swagger and stage presence. And with a new album drop coming later this year, it’s safe to say NEWBEAT is just getting started.
What’s Next?
Set your alarms: ‘Cappuccino’ officially drops on August 5 at noon KST worldwide. If KCON LA was any indication, these rising stars are ready to serve up hits and hijack your playlist—one espresso shot at a time.
