JYP Entertainment’s rising boy group, NEXZ, has made a strong impression in Japan by winning the ‘Best 5 New Artists’ award at the 39th Japan Gold Disc Awards. The recognition comes just seven months after their debut with the EP ‘Ride the Vibe (Japanese Ver.) / Keep on Moving.’

The Japan Gold Disc Awards, hosted by the Recording Industry Association of Japan, honors artists based on album sales and streaming numbers. NEXZ’s debut album topped the Oricon Daily Album rankings, further proving their growing popularity. Their ‘NEXZ SHOWCASE 2024 “Ride the Vibe”’ tour in major cities like Fukuoka, Osaka, and Tokyo sold out completely, solidifying their fanbase.

NEXZ has also gained attention for their participation in significant events, including Park Jin-young’s 30th-anniversary concert ‘Still JYP’ in Tokyo and the ‘Universal! Live 2025’ held at Universal Studios Japan, where they performed alongside the theme park’s iconic characters. Their rapid rise has even earned them a spot on Grammy.com’s ‘K-pop Rookies to Watch in 2025’ list.

Following their successful fan meeting in Korea, NEXZ is set to embark on their first solo tour in Japan, ‘NEXZ LIVE TOUR 2025.’ Kicking off on June 4 in Kanagawa, the tour will span 14 cities with 16 performances. Additionally, they will make their summer festival debut at ‘NUMBER SHOT 2025’ on July 20 in Fukuoka. With these diverse activities, NEXZ continues to establish itself as a formidable force in the global music scene.
