Park Jihyun Delivers Unforgettable Performance in Suwon
K-pop singer Park Jihyun successfully wrapped up his first solo concert in Suwon. Held on March 29 and 30 at the Gyeonggi Arts Center, the ‘SHOWMANSHIP – Suwon’ concert is part of his nationwide tour, following stops in Seoul, Daegu, and Mokpo. Over a 150-minute runtime, Park treated fans to a powerful blend of vocals, emotional ballads, and energetic stage presence.
Sold-Out Shows and Emotional Highlights
The Suwon concert sold out in advance, proving Park’s growing popularity. “The 150 minutes I spent with the audience were truly unforgettable,” he shared emotionally. He kicked off the stage with his hit track “Turn On Your Signal Light” amid a grand opening performance.
Park continued the momentum with songs like “Can’t Leave You” and “Empty Glass,” interacting closely with the audience through a live Q&A. Tracks such as “First Greeting,” “Only the Brave Win the Beauty,” and “Blossom Breeze Woman” showcased his versatile vocal range and charisma, all while heating up the first act’s atmosphere.
Dynamic Performances and Unseen Sides
Perhaps one of the night’s standout moments was a dance medley combining “Adult Ceremony” and “Honey,” which stirred thunderous reactions. Following a playful VCR segment titled Youth Rest Stop, Park returned with a high-energy medley alongside his dance team. The parody of the movie Tazza in another VCR segued into performances of his latest mini-album title track “Sea Man” and the sultry b-side “Parting at the Port.”
Sentimental Moments and a Nightclub-Style Finale
In the second half, Park delivered emotional ballads like “Foolish Man,” “Geomungo,” and “By Your Side.” A tribute video dedicated to his parents introduced touching performances of “Unturnable Years” and “Mokpo Blues,” showcasing Park’s emotional depth. Wrapping up, he turned the venue into a makeshift nightclub with renditions of “My Way” and the “Nightclub Medley,” expressing heartfelt thanks to staff and fans alike.
Encore and Future Tour Plans
As the final song, he performed “Don’t Leave Me,” then took a group photo with fans to mark the special occasion. Responding to encore chants, he performed “We Can Make It” and “Love When You Smile,” concluding the event on a high note. “Please look forward to the rest of my nationwide tour,” Park said with determination.
