PLAVE, TXT, and Dreamcatcher Dominate 2025 KM Chart Summer Awards

KM Chart’s 2025 Season Best Summer Awards spotlighted standout K-pop artists and chart-topping songs from the second quarter, with PLAVE, TXT, and more earning major wins.

Who Ruled the 2025 K-pop Summer? Here’s the Breakdown

The second quarter of 2025 blazed with sizzling comebacks, rookie standouts, and viral tracks—and the KM Chart just crowned the artists who made it a summer to remember. The chart’s ‘Season Best Summer’ awards, based on performance from April to June, celebrated the K-pop acts who led the scene both on and off the charts.

PLAVE Takes Top Track — Again

PLAVE’s breakout hit “Dash” took home “Best K-Music (Song)”, repeating their spring success. The rock-infused title track from their third mini album Caligo Pt.1 not only topped the Melon Top 100 chart but also blended mainstream appeal with bold musicality. That’s two-for-two this year, and fans are anything but surprised.

Tomorrow X Together Snags Best Artist

It was a big summer for TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT), who earned “Best K-Music Artist” thanks to their striking presence and star power across the K-pop landscape. Whether it’s through choreography, concepts, or cultural reach, TXT’s impact is only getting stronger.

GOT7’s Yugyeom Wins Best Solo

Flexing his evolution from boy group maknae to stand-alone powerhouse, Yugyeom received “Best Solo” nods for his distinct musical identity. And with every release, he’s proving he’s more than just a former idol—he’s an artist in full bloom.

The HOTTEST Picks? Lee Chanwon and Dreamcatcher

In the fan-favorite “Best Hot Choice” category, Lee Chanwon and Dreamcatcher came out on top. Known for his tender vocals and heartfelt lyrics, Lee Chanwon continues to win over listeners with sheer authenticity. Meanwhile, Dreamcatcher extended their four-season streak by winning again in this category. “We owe everything to our InSomnias,” they said of their fiercely loyal fanbase.

Rookies to Watch: N.SSIGN and UNIS

Newcomers N.SSIGN and UNIS earned the “Best Rookie” titles for male and female artists. N.SSIGN claimed their fifth consecutive rookie award, even selling out venues on a global tour—a serious flex for a two-year-old group. “We’re thankful to grow with KM Chart from day one, and we’ll keep running ahead,” N.SSIGN shared.

Formed through survival show Universe Ticket, girl group UNIS has racked up achievements at lightning speed, including chart wins, record-breaking sales, and a nationwide tour. “This is an honor we’ll work hard to live up to,” UNIS said with gratitude.

What’s Next for K-pop’s Summer Royals?

From seasoned stars to fiery rookies, the K-pop scene this summer was anything but dull. With 7 categories and major trophies landing in the hands of artists who continue to evolve, there’s no doubt this was one of the most memorable quarters yet. The race is on for Fall—who will shine next?
