Red Velvet’s Seulgi is captivating fans once again with her solo activities, unveiling a new side of herself through her latest release, ‘Baby, Not Baby.’ Featured in a recent Elle Korea photoshoot, she showcased her professional yet charming appeal.

During an interview following the shoot, Seulgi emphasized the significance of communication in the album’s preparation. ‘The process of gathering fun ideas was incredibly enjoyable,’ she shared. ‘I was able to voice my opinions freely—I think I played the role of a first mate well,’ she added with a smile. Reflecting on her title track, she revealed, ‘When I first heard the song, I felt there were so many possibilities with it. I wanted to show a new side of Seulgi through this track.’

She also recognized the unwavering support from her group members. ‘No matter what I do, my members always cheer me on. Even during album preparations, they would take turns checking in on me to see how things were going,’ she said, highlighting Red Velvet’s strong teamwork. As the group’s second eldest, Seulgi mentioned her desire to continue being a reliable pillar of support for her teammates.

Celebrating Red Velvet’s 10th anniversary last year, Seulgi has been expanding her artistic horizons. She launched her personal YouTube channel, ‘Hi Seulgi,’ and even held her first-ever solo photography exhibition. Looking ahead, she remains committed to staying true to herself. ‘There are moments, such as right before going on stage, where nerves are unavoidable. But I always believe everything will flow smoothly, and I strive not to be consumed by anxiety,’ she expressed, revealing her strong mental resilience.
