SEVENTEEN Turns ‘Water Battlegrounds’ Into a Comedy Showdown

SEVENTEEN brings chaotic energy and hilarious tactics in their latest survival water gun game episode of GOING SEVENTEEN, teasing fans ahead of their global world tour.

SEVENTEEN Launches a Splashy Survival War… Literally

If you’ve ever wondered what SEVENTEEN would look like in a video game bathhouse brawl, wonder no more. On July 6, the beloved K-pop group dropped a new episode of their wildly popular self-produced variety series GOING SEVENTEEN titled EP.130 Water Battlegrounds #1—and it’s as chaotic as it sounds.

The episode riffs on popular battle royale gaming mechanics: each member collects offense and defense items, gears up, and eliminates each other with toy water guns until only one idol is left standing. Think Fortnite, but in shorts and drenched in laughter.

Suave, Soaked, and Slightly Ridiculous

If you thought SEVENTEEN played fair, think again. From the get-go, the members brought the drama and the comedy. Seungkwan, who couldn’t snatch a single item, resorted to diplomatic begging: “Can’t we be a little kinder in this harsh world?” he pleaded to Joshua. When that failed, he straight-up pledged loyalty to Mingyu. Think Game of Thrones… but with water balloons.

Jun went full ninja mode, hiding until the coast was clear, while Dino made a mad dash when his water ammo ran low. Vernon? He channeled inner spy energy, lurking in the shadows waiting for the perfect strike. The episode became a showcase of each member’s quirky personality as much as their game tactics.

Alliances Form, Friendships Tested

As they got the hang of the rules, the 13 members formed strategic alliances. Joshua and Dokyeom tag-teamed and ganged up on Hoshi, making him the first to fall. Meanwhile, Mingyu became Seungkwan’s bodyguard (who needs a weapon when you’ve got a Mingyu?).

When S.Coups ambushed THE8 mid-alliance, it threw the game into overdrive. THE8 switched sides and teamed up with Woozi for some sweet revenge. Tensions rose, water flew, and fans couldn’t look away.

The Final Soakdown

As the playing field narrowed, the intensity spiked. Members clashed over supply boxes, and the stakes (and splash zone) got very real. By the end, only one could claim the unofficial title of SEVENTEEN’s Survivor King.

Before They Tour the World, They’re Winning the Internet

Episode 130 of GOING SEVENTEEN was not just content— it was comedy gold, gamer fuel, and group chemistry at its best. It arrives just as the group gears up for their SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR [NEW_] starting September 13–14 in Incheon.

From there, they’ll hit Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Stadium, five North American cities in October, and Japan’s four major domes through November and December. Survival games today, world domination tomorrow?
