Hoshi’s Elegant Farewell to the Spotlight—For Now

Before heading off to fulfill his mandatory military service, SEVENTEEN’s Hoshi left fans with one last keepsake. The 27-year-old artist landed the cover of Allure Korea‘s October issue, marking his final pictorial before enlistment—and it’s every bit as striking as fans expected.

From Fiery Performer to Chic Fashion Icon

Known for his high-octane stage presence, Hoshi flipped the script this time, channeling sophisticated charisma and subtle emotion in front of the camera. It was a fresh look for the SEVENTEEN main dancer, reaffirming his place not just in music, but in fashion culture too.

“I Can’t Waste Time Thinking About CARATs”

In the accompanying interview, Hoshi reflected on his decade-long journey with SEVENTEEN and his commitment to music and fandom. “I think truly genuine vibes come through only when I make music I confidently love,” he said. “Looking back on the past 10 years… it feels like I’ve just been running. When I think about CARATs [SEVENTEEN’s fandom name], I just can’t afford to waste time.”

10 Cities, 100,000 Fans, One Last Bow

Before enlistment, Hoshi and fellow member Woozi wrapped up the ‘HOSHI X WOOZI FAN CONCERT [WARNING]’, visiting five cities in and outside Korea and drawing crowds of over 100,000 fans in total. To top it off, Hoshi dropped a surprise solo track, “TAKE A SHOT,” on the day he enlisted (September 16). The song quickly climbed the ranks on major streaming charts—a powerful sendoff if there ever was one.

More of Hoshi’s final pictorial and interview can be found in the October issue of Allure Korea and across the magazine’s official website and social platforms.

Military Duty and a Message of Love

As is customary for South Korean men, Hoshi has temporarily stepped back from the limelight for his two-year military service. But judging by his words and actions, he’s leaving with a full heart—and CARATs can rest easy knowing their tiger is coming back stronger than ever.
