SEVENTEEN Sets New Milestone in Latin America
On April 4, K-pop group SEVENTEEN took center stage at the ‘Tecate Pa’l Norte 2025’ festival in Monterrey, Mexico, becoming the first-ever K-pop headliner at the renowned Latin American music event. The group’s electrifying one-hour set featured over 13 tracks and drew an explosive response from the crowd at Fundidora Park.
A Festival Performance to Remember
Opening with the new single ‘BEAM’ by members Hoshi and Woozi, SEVENTEEN built momentum through unit performances by their hip-hop, performance, and vocal teams. The group’s live band-backed hits like ‘LOVE, MONEY, FAME (feat. DJ Khaled)’, ‘Left & Right’, and ‘Snap Shoot’ kept energy levels soaring.
Outdoor-ready anthems such as ‘Headliner’ and ‘God of Music’ highlighted SEVENTEEN’s infectious energy, and mega-performances of ‘March’ and ‘Super (손오공)’ combined dynamic choreography with powerful live instrumentation, pushing the atmosphere into overdrive.
Fans Sing Along in Korean
Returning to Mexico after five years, SEVENTEEN engaged fans through greetings in Spanish and sincere interactions. The audience sang along in Korean to hits like ‘HOT’ and ‘God of Music’, waving LED ‘Carat Bongs’—SEVENTEEN’s signature fan light sticks. “Global CARATs made this moment possible. We’ll never forget today,” the group shared emotionally during the show.
Spreading K-pop in Mexico’s ‘Coachella’
Prior to the performance, the group shared their excitement: “It’s an honor to be the first K-pop act to headline Pa’l Norte. It proves that music crosses borders.” Group leader S.Coups added, “SEVENTEEN is known for giving great performances. We’ll show that on this stage.” He also expressed hopes to return to Mexico for a world tour.
Often dubbed the “Coachella of Mexico,” Pa’l Norte is Latin America’s largest music festival. This year’s headliners included Olivia Rodrigo, Green Day, Benson Boone, and Charli XCX, underscoring SEVENTEEN’s rising status on the global music scene.
Next Stop: Japan
After their historic appearance in Mexico, SEVENTEEN will head to Japan for the ‘SEVENTEEN 2025 JAPAN FAN MEETING ‘HOLIDAY’’. The events will be held on April 24 and from April 26–27 at Kyocera Dome Osaka, followed by Saitama Super Arena on May 10–11.
With their international appeal stronger than ever, SEVENTEEN continues to solidify their place as one of K-pop’s global frontrunners.
