At the 2025 EDC Korea festival, held on May 25 at Incheon’s Inspire Entertainment Resort, MONSTA X’s Shownu made a surprise appearance alongside world-famous DJ and producer Steve Aoki. Without any prior notice, Shownu joined Aoki on stage, thrilling fans with an energetic collaboration.
Performing Their Iconic Track ‘Play It Cool’
The duo performed the song ‘Play It Cool,’ a track from MONSTA X’s second studio album that Steve Aoki originally helped produce. Their reunion comes five years after their 2019 collaboration, and the on-stage chemistry between the two artists felt as fresh as ever.
Aoki and Shownu have previously dazzled international crowds, including performances at the ‘iHeartRadio Music Festival’ in Las Vegas and the ‘MDL Beast Fest’ in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This latest joint stage was made possible during Aoki’s visit to Korea, with Aoki himself posting a video of the performance on his social media to showcase their enduring connection.
