Stray Kids Earns Double Nomination at Prestigious US Music Awards
Stray Kids is making waves once again on the international stage. The group has been nominated for two major categories at the upcoming 2025 American Music Awards (AMAs), one of the biggest music award shows in the United States.
Set to take place on May 26, the AMAs have recognized Stray Kids in the categories of Favorite K-pop Artist and Favorite Soundtrack. The latter nomination comes thanks to their song “Come Play”, featured in the soundtrack for season 2 of the Netflix animated series Arcane.
K-pop Dominance at Global Awards
Last year, Stray Kids became the second K-pop group ever to perform at the AMAs, and this year’s nominations highlight their rising global influence. Often listed alongside the Grammys and Billboard Music Awards, the AMAs represent one of the top three U.S. music award ceremonies.
The group’s momentum has been building steadily. They have earned accolades from the MTV Video Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, and earlier this year, they received honors at the 39th Japan Gold Disc Awards for “Music Video of the Year” and “Best 3 Albums.” Additionally, at the 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards, Stray Kids won “K-pop Album of the Year” for the second consecutive year.
Stray Kids’ Massive World Tour Draws Global Crowds
Currently, Stray Kids is on their ambitious Stray Kids World Tour <dominATE>, spanning 55 shows across 34 cities. After a successful Latin American leg that drew nearly 400,000 fans in March, the tour is heading to Shizuoka, Japan in May and will continue through Rome in July.
With an expected turnout of 2.2 million concertgoers, this tour could become the largest-ever audience attracted by a K-pop act during a single tour—a historic achievement for the genre.
Global Stardom Fueled by Music and Fan Connection
Stray Kids’ continued success is fueled not just by their musical innovation, but also by their deepening connection with fans around the world. As their career skyrockets, fans eagerly await their next big move.
The group’s relentless drive and creative output are expanding the reach of K-pop like never before. Whether at award shows or sold-out stadiums, Stray Kids is rewriting the playbook for global K-pop success.
