Stray Kids Teases ‘CEREMONY’ MV Ahead of ‘KARMA’ Album Launch
Stray Kids are back in championship mode. On August 15, the K-pop power group unveiled the teaser for their new title track ‘CEREMONY’, set to drop with their fourth full-length album ‘KARMA’ on August 22. The teaser, released across JYP Entertainment’s official SNS channels, ramps up excitement with just one week left before D-Day.
A Glimpse Into 2081: Sports, Glory, and Neon Dreams
The teaser continues the group’s futuristic narrative introduced in earlier trailers, set in the year 2081—a dystopian-meets-Olympics universe where Stray Kids dominate the legendary ‘KARMA SPORTS’. Each member plays a uniquely styled character:
- Felix sits in a vintage library brimming with trophies.
- I.N proudly shows off a glowing gold medal.
- Changbin steps into the ring in a flashy jacket.
- Bang Chan marches in, surrounded by band fanfare and spirited cheerleaders.
- Han enters holding an explosive ball from the trailer.
- Lee Know relaxes in a racing jacket with a cool smirk.
- Hyunjin dashes fiercely across the scene.
- Seungmin tops it off in a hockey helmet.
The result? A cinematic mashup of a Marvel movie, a high-stakes sports anime, and music royalty vibes only Stray Kids can pull off.
Visually Dazzling, Sonically Powerful
If the visuals weren’t enough, fans got their first taste of the track itself. Backed by hard-hitting beats, the teaser includes the anthem-like chant “Hip hip hooray,” hyping up the triumphant energy. With sweeping CG landscapes and bold aesthetics, the MV seems destined to be Stray Kids’ most ambitious yet.
K-Pop’s Reigning Champs Celebrate in Style
This comeback follows their blockbuster world tour—54 shows across 34 cities—making it their ‘largest tour ever’. Now, they’re channeling that global momentum into ‘KARMA’, their first studio album since June 2023’s ‘5-STAR’. The album features 11 tracks, all produced by Stray Kids’ in-house maestros, 3RACHA (Bang Chan, Changbin, Han), keeping the group’s sonic identity front and center.
When and Where?
‘KARMA’ will officially drop on August 22 at 1 PM (KST), which is midnight EST. Fans worldwide, prepare your playlists: Stray Kids are about to rewrite the playbook on K-pop storytelling—again.
