K-pop sensation Stray Kids has reached another milestone in Japan. Their second Japanese single, Scars / Thunderous -Japanese ver.-, has been certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ)—an honor given to albums with over 250,000 units shipped.
Record-Breaking Chart Success
Upon its release, the single dominated Tower Records’ daily sales chart, occupying the top four spots. The title track Scars climbed to the No.1 spot on iTunes song charts in 32 countries and topped Japan’s Line Music Weekly Song Top 100.
Felix Features on Hit Japanese Track
Felix, a member of Stray Kids, further showcased the group’s global reach by featuring on ReawakeR, a song by popular Japanese artist LiSA. The track has topped Billboard Japan’s ‘Global Japan Songs – Excluding Japan’ chart for six consecutive weeks, also ranking No.1 for nine straight weeks in Germany and leading the U.S. Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart.
Stray Kids’ Expansive World Tour
Riding a wave of momentum, Stray Kids will perform at Shizuoka Stadium Ecopa on May 10–11 and 17–18 as part of their ongoing Stray Kids World Tour <dominATE>. This leg follows sold-out shows at Tokyo Dome and Kyocera Dome Osaka, which drew a combined audience of over 315,000 in November and December.
From Latin America to the World
Just last week, the group wrapped up two successful shows in Mexico City, sharing their energy with fans in Latin America. The ongoing tour will include 55 performances across 34 cities in Japan, North America, Europe, and beyond, with an anticipated total audience of 2.2 million—poised to set a new record for the largest K-pop tour attendance ever.
