Stray Kids Celebrated as K-pop Ambassadors
Stray Kids closed out the inaugural ceremony of Korea’s new Pop Culture Exchange Committee on October 1 with a spectacular performance. Representing K-pop as a global cultural force, the group delivered a remix of their hits “Thunderous” and “God’s Menu,” blending Korean traditional music with modern beats—and absolutely bringing the house down.
Presidential Praise: “Pride of Korean Culture”
Korean President Lee Jae-myung made a rare cameo in the K-pop world, calling Stray Kids “a source of national pride” for topping the Billboard 200 chart seven consecutive times—an unprecedented feat in the U.S. chart’s 70-year history.
Backed by a traditional-inspired intro, Stray Kids performed in front of a captivated audience and global live stream viewers, showcasing their stage dominance and tight live vocals. They were joined in the finale by the K-TIGERS taekwondo team and lion mask performers for a special version of their Billboard-dominating track “CEREMONY.”
Record Breakers with ‘KARMA’
Stray Kids isn’t slowing down anytime soon. Their August release KARMA became the first of their albums to stay in the Billboard 200’s Top 20 for five consecutive weeks. The album also secured five straight No.1 spots on the World Albums chart and holds the record for the longest-charting K-pop album of 2025. “CEREMONY,” the title track, made history by becoming only the second K-pop song ever to spend over five weeks on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart.
