tripleS Gifts Japanese Fans with Special Releases

K-pop girl group tripleS has just released their highly anticipated Japanese singles, ‘Rising’ and ‘Girls Never Die’, on April 12. This marks a special moment for their Japanese fanbase, known as WAV, with both songs newly recorded in Japanese to better resonate with local audiences.

Two Milestone Tracks Get a Japanese Makeover

Both songs hold significant meaning for the group. ‘Rising’ was the title track of their ‘ASSEMBLE’ album, which featured all ten members at the time. Meanwhile, ‘Girls Never Die’ was their first song released after tripleS completed their 24-member lineup, signaling a new era for the group.

Now, all 24 members have participated in the Japanese version of ‘Rising’, creating a special treat for fans. ‘Girls Never Die’ also includes an upgraded dance break in the music video, ramping up excitement among viewers.

Not Just a Translation—It’s a Cultural Adaptation

tripleS’s management company, Modhaus, emphasized that the Japanese versions were not simple translations of the Korean lyrics. Instead, the songs were carefully adapted to suit the nuances of the Japanese language while preserving the core emotion and storyline of the originals. This thoughtful composition is drawing heightened interest from fans and music critics alike.

Celebrations and a Fan Event to Remember

The group recently wrapped up their global ‘Come True’ tour with a final performance by eight of the ‘S’ members—including Yoon Seoyeon, Kim Nakyoung, Seo Dahyun, Nien, Joobin, Jung Hayeon, Seollin, and Seoa—in Seoul.

To celebrate further, tripleS will host a special fan event titled ‘tripleS [1st Surfing Club Induction]‘ on April 12 at 6 PM, held at Yonsei University’s Grand Auditorium. The event carries the theme “Can’t You Hear the Sound of the Waves?”, promising fans an unforgettable memory-making experience.

Fans Shape the Next Chapter: ASSEMBLE 25

Fans also played a role in the group’s ongoing evolution. With the creation of ASSEMBLE 25—the next version of the group’s lineup—a whopping 28,233 WAVs participated in the ‘Grand Gravity’ voting event. This marks the most enthusiastic fan engagement in any ‘Gravity’ session to date, spotlighting tripleS’s growing global fandom.
