10 Years of TWICE—And They’re Just Getting Started
Since debuting in October 2015, TWICE has grown from bubbly rookies to global powerhouses. Now, as they celebrate their 10th anniversary, the group isn’t just looking back—they’re setting new records and redefining what it means to be a K-pop girl group on the world stage.
Billboard & Spotify—’Strategy’ Goes Viral
TWICE’s 14th mini album ‘Strategy’ is having a serious comeback moment. Originally released as part of Netflix’s upcoming animated film K-pop Demon Hunters, the album’s title track recently rocketed to No. 74 on Billboard’s Hot 100—climbing 18 spots in just a week.
Meanwhile, member subunit Jeongyeon, Jihyo, and Chaeyoung heated things up with ‘TAKEDOWN’, securing No. 67 on the same chart. Over on Spotify U.S., ‘Strategy’ racked up over 511,000 streams, landing at No. 48, while ‘TAKEDOWN’ topped it with 556,000 streams and reached No. 42.
Headlining Lollapalooza—First K-pop Girl Group to Do It
On August 2, TWICE made history as the first-ever K-pop girl group to headline Lollapalooza Chicago—one of America’s biggest music festivals. They delivered a powerhouse set of 20+ songs, backed by tight choreography and showstopping visuals shaped by years of global touring.
Fans—referred to lovingly as ONCE—erupted online with praise: “TWICE is the pride and class of K-pop.”
And a Surprise Cameo with Sabrina Carpenter?
Because one stage wasn’t enough, members Momo, Sana, and Jihyo pulled a surprise appearance during Sabrina Carpenter’s Lollapalooza set. Part of a cheeky performance called ‘Juno Arrest’—where Sabrina “handcuffed” celebrity guests with pink cuffs—the TWICE trio played along, winking and smiling for an ecstatic crowd.
What’s Next?
TWICE continues to roll out anniversary projects, including their fourth full album ‘This Is For’, their Japanese sixth studio album ‘Enemy’, and a 10th anniversary documentary film. Netflix, Billboard, festivals—TWICE is claiming every platform, one milestone at a time.
