South Korea’s rising K-pop group TWS has officially announced their Japanese debut following the success of their first fan meeting in Japan. Known for being one of the top rookie groups of last year, TWS will enter the Japanese market in July.

From March 15 to 16, the group held their ‘2025 TWS 1ST FANMEETING <42:CLUB> IN JAPAN’ at Musashino Forest Sport Plaza’s main arena in Tokyo. More than 30,000 enthusiastic fans attended the event, with all tickets selling out, proving the group’s immense popularity. During the event, leader Shinyu surprised fans with the announcement: “TWS will officially debut in Japan this July.” The crowd erupted in excitement, showing their full support.

During the event, TWS impressed fans by interacting in fluent Japanese, strengthening their bond with their growing audience in the country. They performed a setlist that included their debut track, ‘First Meeting Doesn’t Go as Planned,’ delivering refreshing and energetic performances. Fans engaged enthusiastically, following the fan chants throughout the showcase.

Alongside the fan meeting, a pop-up store near Tokyo’s Shinjuku Station also garnered massive attention. Tickets for the ‘2025 TWS 1ST FANMEETING <42:CLUB> IN JAPAN’ pop-up store sold out within just 20 minutes of the reservation page going live. Designed with a blue cabinet-themed photo zone and exclusive merchandise, the pop-up provided fans with an exciting experience.

TWS has already demonstrated strong popularity in Japan, with their debut single ‘Last Bell’ reaching No.1 on the Oricon Weekly Ranking. They also earned a Gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan, affirming their rising status. The group has further expanded their presence by appearing on major Japanese music programs such as ‘2024 FNS Music Festival’ and ‘Best Hit Song Festival 2024,’ bringing K-pop’s appeal to Japanese audiences.
