Wendy Unveils Ethereal Look Ahead of ‘Cerulean Verge’ Comeback

Wendy teases fans with enchanting new concept images and kicks off her first solo world tour with 'Cerulean Verge'—a spellbinding comeback after 18 months.

Wendy Sets the Stage With Dreamlike New Concept Film

Red Velvet’s Wendy is making her solo return—and it’s as magical as ever. On August 28 and 29, her agency Ascend dropped the first concept film and images for her upcoming third mini-album, ‘Cerulean Verge’, across her official social media accounts—and fans are already hooked.

A Fairy Tale Aesthetic That Casts a Spell

The teaser gives major storybook vibes: Wendy appears with her signature dark waves subtly glowing, her dreamy gaze matching the mysterious, otherworldly aura. It’s not just a look—it’s an emotion. She practically stepped out of a Studio Ghibli frame.

Return of a Solo Queen

Wendy’s ‘Cerulean Verge’ drops on September 10, marking her first solo release in 18 months since last year’s ‘Wish You Hell’. It’s also her first project under her new label, Ascend, which adds an extra layer of anticipation.

From ‘Sunkiss’ to ‘EXISTENTIAL CRISIS’

The mini album will feature six tracks—including the title track ‘Sunkiss’, along with ‘Fireproof’, ‘EXISTENTIAL CRISIS’, ‘Hate²’, ‘Chapter You’, and ‘Believe’. Fans got an early taste when she surprise-released a teaser for ‘Believe’ on August 25, sparking buzz across fandoms.

World Tour Kicks Off in Seoul

And that’s not all—Wendy is heading out on her very first solo world tour. Titled ‘Wendy 1st World Tour: WE’LL LIVE IN SEOUL’, the tour begins in downtown Seoul on September 20–21 at Jangchung Arena. From there, she’ll hit 15 cities with 17 shows, including hotspots like Taipei, Tokyo, Hong Kong, San Francisco, Chicago, and Bangkok.

Here’s What Fans Can Expect Next

Wendy is rolling out content leading up to the big day:

  • Sept 1–4: More concept photos & videos
  • Sept 5: Highlight medley
  • Sept 8: Music video film
