When pop-punk meets the Twilight Zone
Xdinary Heroes are back—and this time, they’re dragging us into a chaotic fever dream. On October 5, the JYP Entertainment band unveiled a mysterious mood film for their upcoming 7th mini album “LXVE to DEATH”, and it’s fair to say fans are still picking their jaws up off the floor.
A mood film like no other
The teaser begins innocently enough—with a voice chirping “I love you!” before a pink wisdom tooth (yes, really) tumbles into view. Moments later, a doctor warns that the tooth, now oddly nestled near a doll’s heart, must be removed or… the heart might stop.
The storyline gets weirder—but weird in the best possible way. The band’s six members give their all trying to revive the toothless doll, using CPR and intense stares. Ants scurry in and out, dragging the extracted tooth while a pink blob explodes from a wall in a final what-did-I-just-watch twist.
Visuals, metaphors, and mayhem
The entire sequence plays like a dark fairytale—loaded with symbolism and sensory overload. Fans are loving the dramatic yet playful vibe, which could be a hint at the emotional turbulence to come in their new music. “They’re not just breaking genre rules—they’re destroying the blueprint,” one fan tweeted.
Known for mixing punk rock edge with K-pop polish, Xdinary Heroes have steadily carved space in the Korean band scene with their quirky identity and story-driven music. Every release is a new chapter in their graphic novel of sound.
Coming October 24
Mark your calendars: “LXVE to DEATH” drops on October 24. Based on what we’ve seen so far, this album is going to be anything but ordinary.
Hype is building
With fans dissecting every frame of the mood film and theorizing about the tooth-heart connection (love trauma? emotional decay?), Xdinary Heroes are once again showing they’re not just a band—you could call them concept artists in disguise.
Stream the teaser—then try to explain it to your friends. We dare you.
“It’s like watching a K-pop version of Inception—with dental drama,” joked one international fan on Twitter.
Brace yourselves, Villains (that’s their fandom name): the new era is about to erupt—pink molars and all.
