YENA’s Fan Event Takes Flight with ‘Blooming Wings’
K-pop soloist Choi Yena, aka YENA, is teaming up with Whosfan Café Dongdaemun to launch a dreamy pop-up experience for her fandom, Jigumi. The themed café runs from June 30 to July 6, turning love for her latest album into an interactive fan space.
What’s Brewing at the Whosfan Café?
The café isn’t just serving drinks—it’s serving memories. Fans stepping into the space will be greeted with YENA’s warm welcome video and a special voice message made just for them. Macarons featuring illustrations drawn by YENA herself are also up for grabs—yes, your sweet treat comes with a personal artistic touch.
Merch, Drinks, and Exclusive Gifts
Inspired by her fourth mini-album ‘Blooming Wings’, the pop-up includes a signature drink called My Little Soda Pop, which pairs perfectly with the themed macarons. Purchase perks are everywhere: buy a macaron and get a sticker and never-before-seen printed photo; buy the special drink and score another exclusive photo.
Album buyers aren’t left out either. They get a chance to win a signed Polaroid through a lucky draw and can join an Instagram giveaway to snag an autographed CD.
Can’t Make It to Seoul? YENA’s Got You
For fans who can’t physically show up, Whosfan Café is offering both online and offline survey events—because Jigumi shouldn’t miss out on the love, no matter where they are.
A Rising Solo Star
YENA continues to solidify her solo presence. Earlier this year, she took home two major honors at the Hanteo Music Awards: ‘Post Generation Award’ and ‘Great Female Artist.’ No wonder the industry is glued to her every move.
Inside the ‘Blooming Wings’ Album
Her fourth mini-album, released roughly 10 months after ‘Smartphone’ and ‘Love War,’ captures the innocence of first love and the heartache of its end—think angel wings and rainy night walks. The album features five tracks, including title song ‘Hate Being Nice’, ‘Drama Queen,’ ‘Hello, Goodbye,’ the collab track ‘Not You (Feat. Miryo of Brown Eyed Girls),’ and ‘364.’
YENA took part in writing lyrics for two tracks, including the bold and brilliant title song, adding her distinct voice (literally and figuratively) to the mix. If summer had a soundtrack, this might just be it.
