Young K Shines on ARENA HOMME+’s September Digital Cover
DAY6’s multitalented bassist and vocalist Young K just added a fresh title to his resume: fashion cover star. The musician fronts the September digital issue of ARENA HOMME+, where he blends timeless style with emotional storytelling through a striking watch brand collaboration.
First Watch, First Memories
In the accompanying interview, Young K reminisced about his first-ever watch—a Hamilton Jazzmaster—gifted by a college friend after landing their first job. “I used to treat them to meals all the time when I started working first,” he laughed. “It’s been some time since I got it, but I finally adjusted the strap recently. I still wear it proudly.”
The Fan Watch That Tells a Story
For long-time fans (known as ‘My Day’), there’s an emotional tie that goes deeper than just the music. One fan-favorite concert accessory is the “My Day Watch”—a symbol of support and connection. Young K even floated the idea of designing an official fan item with Hamilton. “It’d be meaningful as the first-ever cheer item made in collaboration with a watch brand. A leather strap could be fun, or imagine the MY DAY logo engraved into an existing Hamilton model,” he mused.
DAY6 at Ten: The Road to Stadiums
On September 7, DAY6 celebrates a decade since their debut. From humble beginnings to packing out massive venues like KSPO DOME, their rise hasn’t been overnight. Young K reflected, “Even when we weren’t getting attention, even during my military service—I made sure not to waste time. I know that once I let time pass meaninglessly, laziness takes over. So I lived with intention. That’s something I’m truly proud of.”
Music Is His Eternal Compass
Despite his varied pursuits, Young K is clear about one thing—he’s a musician through and through. “Maybe I won’t always feel like a good musician,” he admitted, “but at the very least, I want to be proud to call myself one. Even if I try other things, music will always be my profession—writing it, performing it, living it.”
