Young Pa C Opens Up at ‘Growing Pain pt.1: FREE’ Media Showcase

On June 14, rising K-pop artist Young Pa C hosted a media mini festival (MMF) in Seoul’s hip student district of Sinchon to celebrate the release of his fourth EP, Growing Pain pt.1: FREE. The event, held at YES24 MUV Hall, gave fans and press a first look—both visually and sonically—at a more vulnerable and evolved side of the singer.

Aptly Titled: ‘Growing Pain’ Isn’t Just a Metaphor

The EP title says it all. Reflecting the emotional ups and downs of a young artist carving his path in the K-pop scene, Growing Pain pt.1: FREE represents both personal freedom and the inner struggles that come with chasing one’s dreams.

During the photo op segment, Young Pa C appeared confident yet introspective—a perfect mirror of the EP’s concept. Dressed in a casual but sharp ensemble, he exuded indie flair with idol polish. Fans on social media raved about his look, with one commenting, “He’s giving main character energy—all grown up but still raw.”

From Indie Roots to Rising Star

Young Pa C isn’t new to the scene, but this comeback signals a new chapter. Known for blending moody R&B vocals with alt-pop beats, he’s garnered a cult following across streaming platforms. Past tracks like “Fade Out” and “Blessed Lie” hinted at his sonic potential—but this EP? It’s his most cohesive work yet.

“This EP is me being honest—with myself and with my audience,” he shared in a Q&A. “It’s about pain, freedom, and everything in between.”

What’s Next?

With Growing Pain pt.1: FREE, Young Pa C is planting his flag as a serious artist in the next-gen K-pop wave. As more listeners discover his soulful narratives and tight production, this could be the start of something bigger.

So is freedom worth the pain? For Young Pa C, it just might be the only way forward.
