Yves and PinkPantheress Team Up for Moody Jam ‘Soap’

K-pop soloist Yves teases her emotional turbulence and artistic growth with a new music video snippet for 'Soap (feat. PinkPantheress),' ahead of her third EP 'Soft Error' release.

Yves Drops MV Teaser for ‘Soap’—And It’s a Whole Mood

Former LOONA member turned soloist Yves is back—and she’s not holding back on the feels. On July 4, she unveiled the moody and mysterious teaser for ‘Soap (feat. PinkPantheress)’ on her official YouTube channel.

Cracked Emotions and Glitchy Aesthetics

Visually and emotionally, the 20-second clip is a stunner. It shows Yves appearing dazed and emotionally disconnected, with the word ‘error’ eerily projected across her blank expression. By the end, a haunting lyric flashes onscreen: “Can’t seem to find out.” Yep, we’re intrigued—and kinda worried.

A Killer Collaboration: K-pop Meets UK Pop Royalty

‘Soap’ is one of two title tracks from Yves’ upcoming EP ‘Soft Error’, set to drop July 7 at noon KST. The track features UK indie-pop darling PinkPantheress, who not only adds her recognizable vocals but also co-produced the track. Built on a thumping Miami bass line, the song promises an intoxicating sound that mirrors Yves’ disoriented feelings.

What’s a “Soft Error” Anyway?

The album title refers to a fascinating metaphor: a system that’s outwardly fine but internally broken. If previously released single “White Cat” captures aimless emotional drifting, “Soap” digs into muted emotional residue—the stuff you feel but can’t quite explain.

Two Sides, One Identity

The back-to-back title tracks offer a cohesive contrast, painting a fuller picture of Yves’ post-LOONA artistry. Where “White Cat” floats, “Soap” smolders. Together, they represent the layered textures of ‘Soft Error’—a glitchy yet gorgeously human journey into Yves’ psyche.

The Drop Date

The full EP ‘Soft Error’ will be available on major streaming platforms starting July 7, 12 PM KST. Expect feels. Expect bops. Expect Yves at her most raw and experimental yet.
