Heo Minjin Gives Fans a Peek at Pregnancy Joy
Heo Minjin, better known as Choa from Crayon Pop, just shared a major life update: She’s expecting twin baby boys! In her latest Instagram post, she revealed the gender of her twins-to-be, affectionately nicknamed “Heart” and “Cute.”
“Ta-da! Gender reveal time!” she wrote. “Since they’re identical twins, we could find out through the NIPT test.”
From Girl Group Star to Boy Mom
“I honestly thought I might be having girls—maybe because I grew up with a twin sister,” Minjin admitted. “But nope, they’re both boys!” She also noted that her taemong—a Korean dream said to predict a baby’s future—and her morning sickness symptoms kind of hinted at it early on.
While she may have daydreamed about raising a pair of sisters, she’s now all in. “How cute will they be when they’re born? I can’t stop imagining it!” she said, adding with a wink, “Do I still get to live like a princess now that I’m a boy mom? Veteran moms, help me out with your best tips!”
A Journey of Strength and Miracles
This joyful update follows a challenging chapter in Minjin’s life. In 2021, shortly after marrying a businessman six years her senior, she was diagnosed with cervical cancer during a routine health check while preparing for pregnancy.
Thankfully, she met with doctors who believed fertility preservation was possible. After undergoing surgery in 2023, she received the green light to try for a baby—and succeeded on her first round of IVF. Miraculously, she became pregnant with identical twins, a rare occurrence with under 1% odds. Her due date is set for March 2025.
