Kakao Entertainment, a key player in the global expansion of K-culture, officially launched its new fan platform, ‘Berriz,’ on the 25th. Designed to enhance interaction between fans and content creators, Berriz offers a dedicated space for various entertainment IPs, including K-pop, webtoons, dramas, movies, and musicals.
Berriz aims to be a vibrant playground for global K-culture enthusiasts, transcending genres and formats. The platform opens with an official community for Starship Entertainment’s rookie girl group ‘Kiki’ and the drama adaptation of Kakao Webtoon’s hit series ‘Bunny and Her Boys.’
A key feature of Berriz is its AI-powered tailored communities, integrating live streaming, e-commerce, and interactive elements to enhance fan experiences. Users can engage in discussions, create and share content, and enjoy exclusive content from their favorite artists and creators.
With Kiki’s debut album ‘UNCUT GEM,’ fans can explore their official community on Berriz, accessing exclusive videos, live streams, and behind-the-scenes content showcasing the group’s unique charm.
In early April, the fan community for ‘Bunny and Her Boys’ will also launch on Berriz. Based on a webtoon that has amassed 170 million views, the drama stars rising actors Roh Jeong-eui, Lee Chae-min, and Cho Jun-young. Fans of both the webtoon and drama can enjoy AI-driven features, special events, and exclusive interactions within the platform.
Leveraging experience from Kakao’s existing platforms like KakaoPage, Melon, and 1theK, Kakao Entertainment seeks to redefine fandom culture with Berriz. Currently available on web and mobile (Android and iOS), the platform supports 18 languages, including Korean and English, ensuring easy accessibility for global fans.
With its launch, Berriz is set to offer a new interactive fan experience and further drive the global reach of K-culture. Kakao Entertainment plans to continue expanding partnerships to strengthen Hallyu’s influence worldwide.
