X-UNIT Unveils AI-Powered Comeback
On June 25, K-pop unit group X-UNIT is set to make waves with the launch of their new album, marking a daring leap into the future of music. Formed by members LEX, HYUNSIK, SING, and LEO from the group XODIAC, X-UNIT is introducing a revolutionary spin on K-pop by collaborating with tech giant Google.
Google AI Meets K-pop Innovation
What makes X-UNIT’s return truly groundbreaking is their partnership with Google Cloud, using advanced artificial intelligence systems to create a unique and futuristic music video. With the integration of Google’s Veo video technology, fans can expect visuals unlike anything traditionally seen in K-pop.
The teaser video, released on June 5, offered a glimpse of the AI-enhanced concept using tarot-inspired imagery that caught viewers’ attention immediately. The fusion of technology and artistry is set to give fans not just a song, but a next-level experience.
Powered by Gemini, Imagen, and Veo
The collaboration was officially announced by global talent management agency JACSO at the Google Cloud Summit held in Hong Kong on June 3. JACSO revealed that they assembled a specialized team from Hong Kong’s film post-production industry to carry out AI testing and implementation in the video’s production.
This pioneering project is powered by a suite of Google AI technologies, including the large language model Gemini 2.5, image-generation model Imagen 4, and video creation tools Veo 2 and Veo 3. JACSO confirmed that the collaboration is officially recognized and approved by Google.
A Vision of the Future Launches June 25
X-UNIT’s music video and single will be officially released on June 25 through their official website and a series of promotions that promise to showcase their bold new identity. As AI and entertainment continue to intersect, X-UNIT is taking its first step in defining what the next era of K-pop might look like.
