Netflix is set to launch a fresh new variety show, ‘Daehwanjang Gianjang,’ on April 8. This reality series stars Kian84, BTS’s Jin, and Ji Ye-eun as they run a one-of-a-kind bed-and-breakfast on Ulleungdo Island.

Kian84, known for his eccentric ideas, shared his thoughts on the experience: “It felt like stepping into a dream. So many guests came through, and the entire place was something straight out of my imagination.” His unique vision for the B&B is expected to bring laughter and unexpected moments for viewers.

Jin takes on the role of the ultimate all-rounder, juggling cooking, cleaning, and repairs. He humorously dubbed himself ‘MacGyver Jin’ and remarked, “It’s exciting to try something completely new. I just wanted to give my best in everything I did.” His diligent and unexpected sides will surely add charm to the show.

Ji Ye-eun, the youngest of the trio, took her role seriously—so much so that she even obtained a boating license to ferry guests across the waters of Ulleungdo. “I practiced whenever I had time at the Han River and finally got my license. I wanted to impress everyone with my driving skills,” she shared enthusiastically.

The unpredictable chemistry between Kian84, Jin, and Ji Ye-eun is one of the most anticipated highlights of the show. Kian84 also expressed his gratitude to his co-stars, stating, “Running the place was overwhelming at times, but Jin always helped me stay focused, and Ji Ye-eun was so dedicated that she even got a boating license. I’m really grateful to them.” He playfully described their dynamic as “Squad Leader Kian, Drill Sergeant Jin, and Trainee Ye-eun.”

Directed by Jung Hyo-min and written by Yoon Shin-hye—the team behind ‘Hyori’s Homestay’—‘Daehwanjang Gianjang’ will offer an amusing and heartwarming take on the reality format. The show will release nine episodes over three weeks, with three episodes dropping each week through Netflix. Fans are eager to see what surprises the trio’s wild B&B adventure will bring!
