Behind ‘A-IDOL’ is MBC’s Global IP Production Team, comprised of producers Choi Min-geun, Kim Hye-rim, Lee Ye-na, and Kim So-yeon. The show has drawn significant global interest even before airing. Its fresh format and boundary-pushing concept earned it the K-AI Hallyu Grand Prize at the 2025 K-AI AWARDs, celebrating innovation in Korea’s generative AI and cultural industries.
‘K-AI AWARDs’ Recognizes Cultural-Tech Innovation
The K-AI AWARDs are jointly hosted by the Seoul Mobility Show Organizing Committee and the Korea Generative AI Foundation (KGAF). The awards honor individuals and organizations leading innovation in AI-driven industry transformation. Held on February 10 at the KINTEX Exhibition Center in Goyang, this year’s awards expanded to include cultural tech content under a new integrated brand, the Future Mobility Awards.

A total of nine winners were selected across six categories. In addition to trophies and monetary prizes, these innovators gain access to tech showcases, discounted exhibition opportunities, and enhanced brand exposure—marking a major step forward for AI content in Korea’s cultural exports, also known as Hallyu.
