On March 30, the cast of Netflix’s original K-drama Thank You For Your Hard Work—titled in Korean as 폭싹 속았수다—came together with fans for a heartwarming event held at the Myunghwa Live Hall in Seoul. Titled ‘Well Done! Thank You For Your Hard Work Geumeundong Village Party’, the event was a hybrid of online and offline gatherings, deepening the show’s bond with its audience.
Actors Bring Stories to Life Through Live Readings
The event opened with a recital and award ceremony where selected fan-written works were read aloud by the series’ stars. Actress IU, Park Bogum, Oh Min-ae, Jang Hye-jin, Kang You-seok, Lee Soo-kyung, and even special guest Park Hae-joon took turns delivering moving performances of the winning entries chosen by screenwriter Lim Sang-choon. Lim also shared touching evaluations, revealing her deep connection to the fan stories.

In the second part of the event, hosted by Movement CEO Jin Myung-hyun, actors Lee Soo-kyung and Kang You-seok shared how they emotionally connected with the script. Lee revealed, “I ended up loving every character,” while Kang admitted, “This project moved me to tears.”
Personal Growth Through Powerful Characters
The cast also reflected on the lessons they learned through their characters. IU described her role, Ae-soon, as one she’ll cherish forever, saying, “I will hold her close in my heart like a precious badge of honor.” Park Bogum shared that playing Gwan-sik taught him sincerity and warmth. Park Hae-joon added, “This is the kind of series I’ll return to when I feel lost in life.”
