[CBC News] The historical K-drama Secret Royal Inspector & Joy ranked first in the March edition of the Netizen Awards, marking its sixth consecutive month at the top.
The tvN series received 13,187 votes, accounting for 51.3% of total ballots cast. First aired in 2024, the drama stars Kim Hyeyoon as a witty noblewoman navigating life in the Joseon Dynasty while joining forces with a royal inspector to root out corruption. Fans praised Kim’s portrayal, calling it one of her most versatile performances yet.
Coming in second was JTBC’s King the Land with 4,300 votes (16.7%), followed by MBC’s The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract with 3,161 votes (12.3%).
The fourth spot went to ENA’s Extraordinary Attorney Woo, which earned 1,928 votes (7.5%), while MBC’s My Dearest came in fifth with 1,264 votes (4.9%).
Rounding out the top 10 were: SBS’s My Demon (858 votes, 3.3%), MBC’s The Red Sleeve (430 votes, 1.7%), SBS’s Perfect Secretary (247 votes, 1.0%), tvN’s Crash Landing on You (204 votes, 0.8%), and Mr. Sunshine (112 votes, 0.4%).
The Netizen Awards is a publicly-voted online poll where fans can vote up to six times a day, once every four hours. Since its launch in March 2023, The Awards have amassed nearly 47 million votes, proving the fierce dedication of K-drama audiences worldwide.
