‘A Good Man’ Raises Anticipation with Emotional OST Preview

JTBC's upcoming K-drama 'A Good Man' released a preview medley of its OST, featuring tracks by artists like Xdinary Heroes, Soyou, ATEEZ's Jongho, and more. The emotionally charged soundtrack teases the drama’s themes of love, sacrifice, and dreams.

OST Medley Sets the Tone Ahead of Premiere

JTBC’s new Friday K-drama ‘A Good Man’ has dropped a drama OST preview video through SLL’s official YouTube channel ahead of its premiere on June 18. The sneak-peek offers 15-second clips of all six tracks, giving fans an early taste of the heartfelt emotions woven into the show’s narrative.

Six Unique Voices, One Unified Mood

The OST features contributions from a diverse line-up: Xdinary Heroes, Soyou, Nerd Connection’s Seo Youngjoo, ATEEZ’s Jongho, Na Yoon Kwon, and Rothy. Each song mirrors a slice of the drama’s emotional journey, capturing the tension between passionate love and harsh reality.

From Rock Intensity to Soulful Ballads

Xdinary Heroes set the tone with ‘Wake Me Up’, a powerful anthem reflecting self-discovery and youthful defiance. Known for her emotional delivery, Soyou adds romantic depth with ‘Confess My Love’, while Seo Youngjoo’s ‘Beautiful You’ offers a poetic contrast with urban lyrical overtones.

Jongho of ATEEZ contributes ‘As It Was’, channeling raw vulnerability to depict a bittersweet romance. Na Yoon Kwon brings warmth with ‘Stay With Me’, and Rothy’s ‘Will You Be My Shade’ delivers soft consolation and emotional support between characters.

A Perfect Soundtrack for a Noir Romance

By combining the grit of rock, the tenderness of ballads, and the soul of indie folk, the OST adds multiple emotional layers to the evolving relationship of Park Seokcheol (played by Lee Dongwook) and Kang Miyeong (played by Lee Sungkyung). The music underscores the core themes of the series: love, regret, ambition, and redemption.

A Story of Love, Sacrifice, and Dreams

‘A Good Man’ tells the story of Park Seokcheol, heir to a powerful gang family, and his first love Kang Miyeong, a hopeful singer. As the two struggle to chase their dreams while confronting love and hardship, the drama promises to resonate with viewers through its delicate blend of noir and heartfelt storytelling.

The series premieres on JTBC this Friday at 8:50 PM.
