Oh Hyun-jung Brings Heart to ‘We’ll Travel For You’
Actor Oh Hyun-jung made an appearance at the press conference for Channel A’s new weekend drama, ‘We’ll Travel For You’, held on June 29 in Sangam-dong, Seoul. With summer just around the corner, the drama promises a refreshingly emotional escape for viewers—no passport required.
A Story Made for Wanderlust and Healing
Adapted from Japanese bestseller We’ll Travel Instead by Harada Maha, the series centers on a former idol-turned-travel-reporter who was never quite the center of attention during their K-pop days. Tasked with completing others’ dream vacations, the protagonist embarks on transformative journeys of self-discovery, purpose, and healing.
Think of it as Eat Pray Love meets Run BTS—except instead of visiting temples solo, you’ve got a full cast of scene-stealers to guide the ride.
Visual Escapes from the Comfort of Your Couch
With stunning locations shot both in and outside of Korea, ‘We’ll Travel For You’ is setting itself up as the visual vacation your eyes didn’t know they needed. It’s tailor-made for the summer holidays, delivering what Korean audiences call nunhogang, or “eye-healing” visuals.
From mountain temples to beachside sunsets, it’s a travelogue with tears, growth, and goosebumps included.
A Stellar Cast Bringing Real-Life Warmth
The series stars Gong Seung-yeon, Yoo Jun-sang, Kim Jae-young, Hong Soo-hyun, and Oh Hyun-jung—all known for their depth and charisma. Director Kang Sol, known for emotionally rich storytelling, leads the helm.
At the press event, the cast shared insights into their characters and the chemistry they’ve built on set. In a light-hearted moment, Oh Hyun-jung joked, “I haven’t taken a real vacation in years—but filming this drama kind of felt like one.”
Coming to Your Screen August 2
‘We’ll Travel For You’ premieres on August 2 via Channel A, landing just in time to soothe your mid-summer blues. Whether you’re in it for scenic views, life lessons, or just some top-tier acting, this drama promises a trip worth taking—no suitcase necessary.
