ZEROBASEONE Shines with Witty Variety Charm on ‘Jipdaeseong’

ZEROBASEONE’s Sung Hanbin, Kim Jiwoong, Seok Matthew, and Park Gunwook showed off their vibrant variety skills and strong chemistry during their appearance on the show 'Jipdaeseong'.

ZEROBASEONE Members Light Up Variety Show ‘Jipdaeseong’

On June 4, Sung Hanbin, Kim Jiwoong, Seok Matthew, and Park Gunwook of K-pop group ZEROBASEONE brought laughter and charm to the variety show ‘Jipdaeseong’, showcasing their natural wit and improvisational flair.

A Throwback to Trainee Days

In an episode themed ‘Boys’ Compilation’, the four members creatively reenacted the excitement of pre-debut life. From the moment they appeared, the atmosphere was filled with playful competitiveness and nostalgic energy, making fans feel like they were witnessing a behind-the-scenes trip to the group’s training days.

Meet the Members: Unique Introductions and Fresh Personality

The first mission kicked off with self-introductions. Sung Hanbin proudly demonstrated his versatility in dance genres like locking, waacking, tutting, and hip-hop. Seok Matthew stole hearts with his adorable aegyo, while Kim Jiwoong impressed with camera-savvy charm, targeting each angle like a seasoned idol. Park Gunwook confidently declared, “I want to become the ultimate all-rounder of the 5th generation,” adding with a smile, “I hope to master variety shows through ‘Jipdaeseong’.”

Signature Poses and Personal Diaries

The members continued the fun by creating ‘signature poses’ to represent ‘great success’—the meaning behind the show’s title in Korean. They also opened up about daily moments and heartfelt stories from their personal diaries, sharing their affection for each other and giving fans a glimpse into their offstage lives.

Debut Song Challenge Heats Up

The episode peaked with a performance mission featuring ZEROBASEONE’s debut track ‘In Bloom’. Dividing parts, mastering dance, and memorizing lyrics—all within a time limit—the members poured their energy into perfecting the stage. Their efforts included freestyle rap, floor-sweeping dance moves, and next-level aegyo, delivering a performance that truly “compiled” their variety skills, as the title ‘Jipdaeseong’ suggests.

World Tour Kicks Off This Fall

Looking ahead, ZEROBASEONE is set to launch their second world tour ‘2025 ZEROBASEONE WORLD TOUR: HERE & NOW’ from October 3 to 5 at the KSPO DOME in Seoul. The group will visit seven major cities, performing 11 arena-scale concerts and connecting with fans around the globe.

With their charm now proven on variety shows, the next chapter in ZEROBASEONE’s global rise is one worth watching closely.
