From Stage Lights to Spotlight
ZEROBASEONE’s Zhang Hao is officially stepping into a new spotlight—this time, on your television screen. The K-pop idol makes his small screen debut in the brand-new MBC K-drama ‘Let’s Go to the Moon’, premiering tonight (April 19) in South Korea at 9:50 p.m. KST.
A Gritty Drama With a Twist
Written by Na Yoon-chae and co-directed by Oh Da-young and Jung Hoon, ‘Let’s Go to the Moon’ dives deep into the lives of three women from underprivileged backgrounds (often referred to in Korea as Heuk-sujeo or “mud spoon” kids). Faced with harsh financial realities, they plunge headfirst into the risky world of cryptocurrency investment. Think ‘Start-Up’ meets ‘Squid Game’—but with less blood and more realism.
Zhang Hao as the Sizzling Love Interest
Making a special appearance, Zhang Hao plays Wei Lin, the handsome Chinese boyfriend of lead character Kim Jisung (played by Cho Ah-ram). According to Jisung’s character, “Maybe it’s your fault the Earth is heating up?”—a nod to Wei Lin’s dangerously charming looks. No complaints here.
While this is his first acting project, fans and producers alike are buzzing with excitement. “He’s more than a cameo,” one insider hinted. “His stage-trained expressiveness adds emotional weight to every scene.”
From Idol to Actor, and Everywhere in Between
Zhang Hao has built a diverse portfolio since debuting with ZEROBASEONE, the global K-pop sensation that formed through Boys Planet in 2023. Besides group promotions, he flexed his vocals in the OST of ‘EXchange 3’ and charmed viewers across multiple variety shows.
Now, Zhang Hao’s move into acting feels like a natural next step—and the fans are loving it. Social media is already lighting up with hashtags like #ZhangHaoActorDebut and #LetsGoToTheMoon, showing just how ready the global fandom is for his evolution.
What’s Next for Zhang Hao?
‘Let’s Go to the Moon’ airs every Friday and Saturday at 9:50 p.m. KST on MBC, and if Zhang Hao’s debut performance is even half as hot as his visuals, we’d say he’s already moonwalking his way toward leading-man status.
Will we see more of him on screen in 2024? Here’s hoping this is just the first scene in Zhang Hao’s next chapter.
