From Throwback Hits to Global Cheers, Koyote Unites Generations
Legendary K-pop co-ed group Koyote is riding a fresh wave of global buzz. Despite currently ranking 16th in the 2025 Netizen Awards’ Best Group category (with just three votes), their recent solo concert in Sydney proved they’ve still got the magic to bring fans together—across generations and borders.
A Long-Awaited Solo Stage in Australia
On August 3, local time, Koyote took the stage at Sydney’s iconic Enmore Theatre for what was their first solo concert in Australia in over two decades. The setlist read like a crash course in K-pop nostalgia: from classics like “Disco King” and “Passion” to fan favorites “Meeting,” “Sad Goodbye,” and the heartstring-tugging “Our Dream.”
Fans—both longtime Korean expats and local Aussie K-poppers—sang along at full volume. The night was less a concert and more a communal karaoke session with some serious feel-good vibes.
“National Group” Energy Goes Global
The concert marked a major milestone in Koyote’s international tour, following successful stops in Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Seattle. The Sydney show, however, held added emotional weight—it was their first standalone gig in Australia since a group performance way back in 2004.
Members Kim Jongmin, Shinji, and Baekga shared their gratitude after the show. “We’re leaving with such good energy,” they said. Judging by the lingering cheers, the feeling was mutual.
New Music and a Nationwide Tour Ahead
Not just content with reliving the past, Koyote is also embracing the now. Their new single “Call Me” drops on August 6, adding fresh heat to an already packed year. They’re also gearing up for the 2025 Koyote Festival National Tour: Heung (which roughly translates to “joyful hype”).

Looks like the ultimate party playlist is hitting the road, and fans are here for it.
Awards Season: Underdogs with Staying Power?
Sure, they’re underdogs at the Netizen Awards for now—but don’t rule out a surprise comeback in the polls. With their powerful performance in Sydney, renewed visibility, and a loyal fanbase, Koyote might just convert concert cheers into digital votes.
From 90s icons to ageless performers, Koyote’s latest chapter proves one thing: staying power is the new trend in K-pop.
